3. Optimization techniques for mobile site which differ from traditional optimization (different spellings, common typos, etc.)

5. Increased focus on local search via google places, Gowalla, FourSquare.  Standalone companies are even establishing their own local search tools.  Check out Vail Resorts new Epic Mix, great new tool for skiers and for Vail advertising
6. Social Media sites integrated into major search engines for ranking purposes
7. Website Speed, not exactly a new trend but is becoming increasingly important and needs to be top of mind for all website owners and designers.
8. Increased in keyword costs, industry experts are predicting an 8% overall increase.  This is driven primarily by the number of companies moving focus to on-line advertising making the bid process more competitive.
9. User Generated Content (USG) - Universal McCann Study explains 14% of users trust traditional advertising while 78% trust the word of a fellow consumer
